The Fourth Technical Level Meeting on Pakistan-Sri Lanka Free Agreement (PSFTA) and related issues was held in Colombo from 17th-18th August 2011. Mr. Zafar Mahmood, Secretary, Ministry of Commerce of Pakistan led the Pakistani delegation at the discussions,
while Mr. Tilak Collure, Secretary, Ministry of Industry and Commerce of Sri Lanka led the Sri Lankan delegation.Issues regarding the FTA between two countries and suggestions to further strengthen the trade were discussed at the meeting. The two sides noted the friendly ties and the growing commercial relations between Pakistan and Sri Lanka and acknowledged that the Pakistan- Sri Lanka Free Trade Agreement (PSFTA), which came into force in mid-2005 has helped the two nations enhance their bilateral trade from US $ 147 million in 2004 to US $ 342 million by 2010
